How to begin using the Bakers Manufacturing Academy
Facility Access: Those listed as Company or Plant Administrators should follow the how-to guide to enroll employees into training programs. By doing so, you are able to pay for enrollments on a monthly basis and ABA members are able to receive member rates per program. Invoices are due on the first of every month. To set up your facility, click here to register.
Individual Access: People who want to learn more about baking but do not work for an ABA Member company can enroll for any course in the Bakers Manufacturing Academy. After creating a new account and receiving account confirmation, choose the 'All Course' button on your dashboard or visit the 'Site Home' on the left-hand panel. Then choose a program (Baking Basics 101, for example), pay for your course, and start learning immediately. If you want to take a course and your company IS an ABA Member, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have questions or would like to discuss how to implement the available training programs, feel free to schedule a virtual meeting with one of our Education Team staff members.
Available Educational Programs: ABA's Bakers Manufacturing Academy's best-in-class training solutions provide industry-specific, technical education for bakery production employees whether they are new to the profession or are growing in their career.
Pricing: The Bakers Manufacturing Academy has both ABA Member and Non-Member pricing available. Details can be found here. If the company’s membership lapses, each facility within that company will be switched to non-member pricing. If you are unsure if your company is an active ABA Member, you can view a full listing here. If you would like more information, please contact email@example.com.
The Academy portal has 4 separate levels of access, below are the definitions of who should be named:
Company Administrator: 1 person, not required. The company Administrator can view all participating facilities, student activity per plant, view, and edit existing plant administrators (below), and track course progress. If the company is the American Bakers Association (ABA), the Company Administrator will be the person(s) ABA has on file and automatically entered into our system. If the company is not up to date with membership dues, the company will default to non-Member pricing for programs.
Plant Administrator:2 persons can be listed, per facility. The Plant Administrator will be the ones to enroll students in courses, pay invoices, view and download reports, view the graduate and certificate of completion history, etc.
Cookie & Cracker Manufacturers Course Supervisor: Only for those who enroll in the Cookie & Cracker Manufacturing Course will be asked to list a supervisor. The supervisor will serve as a mentor to the enrolled student during their enrollment period.
Student: Defined as an enrolled student within the Academy
